Founder and Senior Instructor
Dorothy is currently the only practitioner and teacher of the Garuda Method in Singapore. And hopes to share and educate more movement practitioners in this method, which she has committed as a lifelong practice.
Having taught private and group Pilates on a full-time basis for 8 years, Dorothy teaches repertoire on all Pilates Apparatus as well as Barre. As a natural lifelong learner, she regularly attends courses to understand more about anatomy and movement techniques. She practices and holds certificates from:
Dorothy has trained a wide range of populations, and people at different stages in life—from the fit and active, to anyone looking to start an exercise regime; to those undergoing rehabilitation, as well as pre-natal and post-natal clients.

Instructor
Tania is a certified Sound Healer and a Yin yoga teacher who incorporates traditions of the chakras, 5 elements, and Meridien lines; with nature and breath. She believes movement facilitates internal and external healing. She consistently surrounds her practise for the body, heart and mind to find their unique balance and harmony.

Ivan is a seasoned athlete with top ranks in various sports. He integrated yoga into his lifestyle to achieve peak performance in his activities, and prevent injuries. He believes in keeping himself ‘physically enabled’ through daily strength and flexibility practices, which he shares in his classes.
About
Form In Motion was born out of owner and instructor Dorothy’s passion for movement, in particular, the Garuda Method.
While watching an instructor’s Instagram post one day, she noticed the technique that she was practicing and started to find out how she could learn to move in the same fluid and beautiful manner. She flew to Australia and the UK to learn from James D’ Silva, founder of the Garuda Method, and realised how uplifted and at peace she felt after each session.
As she grew to understand the principles of the method more, she was convinced that more people would benefit from practicing the method. Having taught Pilates and Barre for the last 5 years, she was determined to share the Garuda Method with the movement community in Singapore.
The name ‘Form In Motion’ is inspired by a book and exhibition of the same title, by renowned architect, Zaha Hadid, whose work is described as being able to ‘disintegrate traditional boundaries of space’ by ‘converting it into a singular, forceful and fluid “synthesis”‘ (Quote: Arch2o Magazine). Dorothy feels that this statement reflects the organic, fluid and dance-like movement of the Garuda Method.
